Hi Guys
How do I configure APC UPS support as shown here?
I cannot see an option in SIV anywhere... nor any docs covering it.
Last question - is it supported via USB or SNMP/Managment card over LAN too?

Many thanks

Welcome to the forum and if you have a UPS connected via USB then SIV should automatically detect it and there should be a UPS section on the initial screen just after the PSU section.
What do the [USB Bus] and [HID Bus] panels report? If it's on [HID Bus] what does the HID details panel show?

not sure if APC support USB and LAN/Management card concurrently - but will go have a play. It depends on the UPS, which model do you have? I don't know how hard it would be to get network support working and don't have a network card anyway. Do any 3rd party programs report it via the network?

Do any 3rd party programs report it via the network? I use spam://www.apcupsd.org/ which allows other third party stuff to speak to the UPS. See screenshot attachment of the stuff it gathers. The model I have is a Smart-UPS 1500 RM but if its IP direct to the device, then I would have expected you only need to know what type of management card you are speaking to - of which there are probably a handful and all seem to present the same interface (from having played with a few over the years). I just plugged in the USB and /USB Bus/HID Bus does not show the device so guess teh network interface disables it - will do more testing - dont want to "down" the devices attached to the UPS right now! Thank you for the link and after a quick check it seems to use SNMP to talk to the UPS. It also seems to support a USB connected UPS so if you switched your UPS to USB both should report it.
Given that since I added UPS USB support in 2012 there have been few if any requests for network support I am not currently inclined to add SNMP support to SIV. I am also wondering what impact using SNMP would have on the SIV start-up time.
