Just getting started with SIV...the breadth of info it contains (and so far, controls) is amazing. I have a number of the other, similar apps on my workstation, and this one blows them all away. But it brings me to my questions, please... I have successfully configured my CLCP temp sensor and fans. That's great, because that company's software is terrible. I kind of knew that going in, but I needed a configurable fan controller (no LEDs) and there aren't that many available... Is there a way to configure max temps for all the "Items" listed in the Cooling Status window? Preferably somehow to configure a "Warning Temp" (to either run a configurable program/batch script or just use default Windows pop-up notifications)...and configure a Max/Critical Temp where we could possibly have a macro to set all fans to 100% and then if the temp is still at critical after "n seconds", perform an orderly shutdown??? I forget which of "the other apps" has some of this available...it's not a novel idea on my part. How do I control one of the MB fans (like the CPU Fan) with a custom curve...similar to how I configured the Link Fans? Right now I have SF doing that, but I'd like to get rid of all the other apps and just use SIV, if it can "do it all". Many thanks in advance!

Welcome to forum and I too feel the bloatware supplied by the CLCP maker is a 💩.
I can't see why you need a new way to "set all fans to 100%" as you can already do this using a custom curve. If you wish to for this for multiple temperatures then simply create a synthetic and use that.
SIV cannot control motherboard fans as doing this would be a huge amount of work, SIV would need different code for different motherboards and I would also need all the supported motherboards to test things. I have no plans to add this and for my own systems I simply connect all the fans I wish to control to a CLCP.
Currently SIV does not support shutting a system down when things overheat and I am unsure about adding this as should SIV fail to shutdown a system down when it should I am concerned about the consequences for me. With modernish systems I would hope the BIOS will do this.

Thanks for the reply, Ray. So if I have multiple sensors (including synthetics) with different curves for one particular fan, what is the logic? Is it "max RPM of all curves defined"? My two issues with connecting all the fans to the CLCP is: 1) I don't know if I trust that device just yet. Especially if the CPU fans have trouble and I have no logic to auto-shutdown. 2) There is logic in the BIOS that won't let the PC startup if fans are not connected to strategic pinouts. System Fans and CPU fans are definitely two scenarios. (I have read a hack to just jumper the sense cable from a "good" fan to each of those connectors, but that's truly a hack. Regardless of my personal wish-list, SIV is still excellent. I'm going to send a small donation your way ASAP...at least enough for a pint or two
