There are a number of posts such as spams://www.techpowerup.com/257312/reports-of-ryzen-3000-high-idle-voltage-exaggerated-a-case-of-the-observer-effect about the AMD Ryzen 3000 Observer Effect so I felt I should check what happens with SIV. With SIV there is Menu->Hardware->CPU Details->CPU Speed Ratios which reports a per core + summary of the speeds and voltages so it's quite easy to check if SIV shows this effect and I would be interested to see how SIV does on Ryzen 3000 systems. Running SIV on my ASUS Crosshair VII Hero (Wi-Fi) with an AMD Ryzen 5 3600 6-Core (Matisse) CPU I got as below which shows that almost all of the time 2.20 GHz + 0.91 volts are reported which clearly shows SIV does not exhibit the Observer Effect. Schrödinger's cat ? Is the beta required? I don't own a Ryzen 3000 yet and our review system is back to AMD and will back in a few days at least. But I could post it in our forum

No, all SIVs should be fine as they all use less % CPU time than many similar utilities, but for Matisse >= SIV 5.40 would be sensible.
