Welcome to the forum and this is strange. I don't get this issue on my system and don't recall this ever being reported as an issue. Given you have provided no information at all about your system it's impossible to even guess what could be causing this. I am currently wondering: - Which CPU, GPUs and Motherboard do you have (post the initial SIV screen).
- Is SIV controlling any AIOs, is so post Link Status
- What are the CPU IPI delays? Post Menu->Hardware->CPU Detail->CPU IPI Delay
- What are the Map Unmap delays? Post Menu->Hardware->CPU Detail->Map Unmap
- Do you see this effect with any other utilities and if so which ones.

Using a very pol pc. 1060 6GB GPU. Was working fine on windows 7. Installed windows 10, and got this buzz every so often from speaker when playing games, music, youtube. Reinstalled windows 10, installing 1 bit of software at a time and testing. Didn't buzz again untill i installed SIV64X. Uninstalled SIV64X, no buzz.. SIV.png (249.13 KB)

Thank you for the information and there are no obvious problems with the delay times. I wonder why there is an issue with Windows 10 when Windows 7 was OK. It would be helpful to get some idea which part of SIV triggers the effect and I am wondering: - How often does it "buzz"? Every two or every ten seconds?
- Is it the GPU updates, do SIV64X -NOGPUS and see if the issue goes away.
- Is it the AIO updates, do SIV64X -NOLINK and see if the issue goes away.
- Is it the SIO updates, do SIV64X -NOSENSORS and see if the issue goes away.
- Is it the Disk SMART updates, do SIV64X -NOSMART and see if the issue goes away.
- Might it be the QST updates? Does [ Status ] list any QST devices and if so what happens if you disable QST (Intel Management Engine) in the BIOS or Device Manager?
- How long do the GPU updates take, post Menu->Tools->GPU Status which will also report the NVidia driver version.
I checked out what happens on the system I have that is closest to your system and all is fine, even with 5 instances of SIV64X active . RPD.png (234.74 KB)

Where do i find NOGPUS etc please. These are command qualifiers, see [ About ] for more of them. Obviously when specified SIV will not report the excluded items. Again how often does it "buzz"? Every two or every ten seconds? RTFM.png (4.82 KB)

It's was sometimes every 10 seconds, then every 2 minutes. But i added -NOSMART -NOGPUS and it seems to have sorted the problem. Thanks for all the help.

It's was sometimes every 10 seconds, then every 2 minutes. But i added -NOSMART -NOGPUS and it seems to have sorted the problem. Given it's "every 10 seconds" I expect it's down to the Disk SMART reading as the GPU reading happens every two seconds, given this I suspect doing just SIV64X -NOSMART will be enough. You can also set the default qualifiers using Menu->Tools->Configure->SIV Qualifiers, see the user guide. Another option would be to reduce the Disk SMART polling interval to say every 30 minutes. To do this from Menu->Tools->Disk Status select each drive in turn, change Minimum SMART from 0 to 1800 and press [ Save ]. The root cause of the issue is likely to be the disk driver causing excessive DPC delays, which one are you using (post Menu->Devices->SMART)? Installing RST may help and make sure the controller is set to AHCI rather than IDE mode in the BIOS. After pondering this I am wondering if you have drives connected to the JMB controller, do you? As you should expect Menu->Devices->SMART will tell me this.

Is says Menu->Devices->SMART drives No SMART capable Disk Drives found Error 1168 Element not found Yes, that is because you specified -NOSMART on the command line which as a specified will exclude them so you need to do SIV64X -SMART to ensure the drives and their drivers can be reported. On this system I get: RED.png (57.25 KB)
