Hi Ray,
SIV has several problems with AMD Chipset and PCI-Device Identifications....
AMD K15M6,K15M6, K17, K19 PCI Problems for years:
The Basics:
Starting with AMD Family 15h Models 60h-6Fh and newer - all are SOC meaning:
- 1022:790B=SMBus
- 1022:790E=LPC
are parts of the CPU but SIV shows things like:
AMD X570 Chipset SMBus Controller
AMD X570 Chipset LPC Bridge
on AMD B550 System...
it should show "AMD Ryzen 5 (K19) SMBus Controller" or something like that
SIV even reports "AMD X599 Chipset SMBus Controller" on EPYC 7xx2 or "AMD X399 Chipset SMBus Controller" on EPYC 7xx1
On AMD Lucienne based Laptop (without Chipset) SIV reports "AMD 500-Series Chipset SMBus Controller"...
AMD A520/B550:
1.) A520:
1022:43EC = A520 XHCI(its not in the pcidevs ;= Date 2021-05-14 Version 247 Records 132,197)
1022:43EB = SATA
1022:43E9 = Switch Upstream Port
1022:43EA = Switch Downstream Port
2.) B550:
1022:43EE = B550 XHCI
1022:43EB = SATA
1022:43E9 = Switch Upstream Port
1022:43EA = Switch Downstream Port
So SIV should show:
AMD A520 USB 3.0 Host Controller
AMD A520 SATA Controller [AHCI mode]
AMD A520 PCIe Upstream Switch Port
AMD A520 PCIe Downstream Switch Port
if 1st device is "43EC" or
AMD B550 USB 3.0 Host Controller
AMD B550 SATA Controller [AHCI mode]
AMD B550 PCIe Upstream Switch Port
AMD B550 PCIe Downstream Switch Port
if 1st device is "43EE"
Maybe there is an other chipset identified by the gap "43ED"
AMD B450/X470:
1.) B450:
1022:43D5 = B450 XHCI
1022:43C8 = SATA
1022:43C6 = Switch Upstream Port
1022:43C7 = Switch Downstream Port
2.) X470:
1022:43D0 = X470 XHCI
1022:43C8 = SATA
1022:43C6 = Switch Upstream Port
1022:43C7 = Switch Downstream Port
Maybe there are some more chipsets identified by "43D1" or "43D2".
AMD A320/B350/X370/X399:
1.) A320:
1022:43BC = A320 XHCI
1022:43B8 = SATA
1022:43B3 = Switch Upstream Port
1022:43B4 = Switch Downstream Port
2.) B350:
1022:43BB = B350 XHCI
1022:43B7 = SATA
1022:43B2 = Switch Upstream Port
1022:43B4 = Switch Downstream Port
3.) X370:
1022:43B9 = X370 XHCI
1022:43B5 = SATA
1022:43B0 = Switch Upstream Port
1022:43B4 = Switch Downstream Port
4.) X399:
1022:43BA = X399 XHCI
1022:43B6 = SATA
1022:43B1 = Switch Upstream Port
1022:43B4 = Switch Downstream Port
Next problem: unknown CPUID Flags
On Zen3 (VMR-B0) SIV reports:
Reserved (CPUID 8000000A EDX 19) - "SupervisorShadowStack" see 56214
Reserved (CPUID 8000000A EDX 28)
I could SIV if needed:
AMD A320 based system
AMD B350 based system
AMD X470 based system
AMD A520 based system
AMD EPYC 7V12 based system
I added a SIV of Zen3onB550 and AMD Lucienne based Laptop.
