Hello,
I got a problem with my newly bought Gigabyte Aorus elite B450 Mainboard and SIV 5.34.
While running SIV 5.34 with this newly bought Mainboard, SIV showed my the chipset on this mainboard is a AMD X470.
On the Gigabyte page the mainboard is listed as to be using the B450 chipset, other programs didn't recognize the chipset at all.
So I wonder whether there is a AMD X470 chipset on this board, whether this chipset could harm the mainboard or other components or is this aproblem by SIV 5.34?
Any help would be appreciated

Welcome to the forum and from what you said I can't really tell. As a minimum you need to post the [PCI Bus] screen shot, better still e-mail me the Menu->File->Save local files.
Once I see this information I will know more. Given other utilities don't recognise the chipset my guess is that I need to adjust SIV and if you e-mail me the save files I will be able to test the changes before I release a new beta.
I did some asking around and suspect SIV 5.35 Beta-10 will report B450 so please will you try it. Do Menu->File->Download->SIV Beta to get it and post the initial + PCI Bus screens so I can see how well it works.
BTW which other programs didn't recognize the chipset at all?

Hello, thanks for answering so fast.
I tried out the 5.35 beta and, as you presumed, it correctly identified the b450 chipset.
The program that didn't recognize the cipset at all was EVEREST Home Edition by lavalys, CPU-Z told me: Chipset AMD Ryzen SOC Rev. 00, Southbridge AMD Carrizo FCH Rev. 51., LPCIO ITE IT8686.
Where do you want me to mail the PCIDEVS.txt to, as it is quite long.
I haven't found out how to put a screenshot into this 'quick reply', so unfortunatly I can't post a picture. If you could tell me how (I just changed to windows 10 from win7 - now I know it was a mistake), I gladly posr the required screenshots.
Thaks again

Thank you for confirming the issue is resolved and I don't need or want pcidevs.txt which I actually ship in the SIV .zip files.
Press Reply which is to the far right of Quick Reply and then you can attach the screen shots, ideally .PNG files. Please attach the SIV Initial + PCI Bus screens.
Everest has not been updated in years and won't be, but I expect Franck will fix CPUZ in the next release.

Hello, just came back to my desktop PC and saw your message. Made the desired screenshots, but I can't paste them into this reply box (after copying them the option to paste them into this box doesn't show up). Any idea of whta I'm doing wrong? (I certainly start to dislike windows 10) cheers

Thank you, but I was expecting you to post SIV 5.35 Beta screen shots so I could check it's fixed. I also asked for the SIV Initial + PCI Bus screens and you posted Chipset MCH.
