Hi, I use SIV for many years and I'm fully satisfied with it. Actually I control my water pump speed with CPU temp, like everyone, but I would like to control it with CPU load or CPU power instead of temp. It would allow better anticipation for temp management I think. So can you make it possible to select other source than temp in the link FAN windows?
Thank you

Thank you for your post and after pondering I feel to add this I would extend what can be selected as a Synthetic Temperature (see Menu->Tools->Synthetic Setup) and then you would select the Synthetic "temperature" to control the cooler speed. This would also mean you could also incorporate the CPU or any other temperature into what controls the cooler speed.
In terms of options the % load on each CPU is likely to be different, how would you like to deal with this? I could add options such as:
1) % load of busiest CPU 2) % load of busiest CPU in socket (for systems which have multiple sockets)
What would you like to use?
With CPU load the range is 0 to 100 which matches nicely with the range of a temperature, but with powers these would need to be scaled to end up as 0 to 100, so you would need to tell SIV the scaling factor. Again what what options would you like?
I don't know if you already use synthetics so I have attached what I have setup on this system to give you an idea as to what is possible

Yes I use synthetics for a while!!! What a great feature. With ambient temp sensor and water temp sensor I can adjust water delta T for best thermal exchange in quiet condition. The little details that makes SIV the best!
CPU load will do the job, from 0 to 100%. But you need to take the busiest as source. I have only one socket so option 1).
If you take CPU power (in PWM usage) as source, value is for all core, it can be easier. For setting we need to load CPU 100% and see max power, then fix step for pump or fans, like a fan in RPM mode.
I think I prefere CPU power, but don't want you work night and day for it, do the better you think.
Thank you

Which CPU do you have? Post a screen shot that shows me what powers are available. I plan to release SIV 5.76 later this week and will then have a look at adding % load as a synthetic component. How does this look? I feel there no for need for a System Maximum as well as Socket Maximums so I did not implement one. Would you like to try a test SIV64X? I can't e-mail it to you as gmail will bounce the .exe, do you have an email address that won't? Attachments:

Hi, I have a Intel i5 4670k Haswell clocked at 4,5 GHz, see attachments.
It's a good start, look nice! I will test it for sure, but I have only a Gmail address. If you RAR or ZIP the .exe maybe?
