Hi
As title really SIV (currently running 5.48 (but same in previous releases since first noticed issue) and have a problem in that the link fans and temps are not preserved post a reboot. This is a real pain as you would expect on a server.
I have been suffering this for a while now (read 6 months or so) and as its a server and only reboots when windows update needs to, I keep resetting the settings.
If I stop and restart SIV without a reboot - the settings are preserved.
If anyone has some ideas it would be appreciated.
David

Given you have not even specified what the device is I feel it's impossible for anyone sensibly comment and feel you should have posted the [ Link Fans ] screen shot.

Apologies.... I did not think it would show you much. You really should be asking yourself "Have I posted enough information for anyone to wish help me?" For openers it will tell me what device you have the issue with and it will also tell be the firmware versions. I don't see the issue you have with my CLCPs which have the 0.9.212 firmware. I suspect 0.8.210 is OKish, but as for 0.1.131 I suspect this is the root cause of your issues. Update both CLCPs to the 0.9.212 firmware and see if this resolves the issue. Pondering further it would be sensible to post [ Link Fans ] before you reboot and post it again after the reboot as I may well notice differences you don't. I feel having two different devices called CLCP Fan 4 is asking for confusion and feel it would be sensible for you to use differing names as I have. Attachments:

Hi Thanks for the reply. I guess in response to "I did not think" - a screen shot that shows little - other than the firmware versions...hence I did not originally attach it - sorry. I guess what my question should have been is "what would cause SIV not to save the profile/settings?" I would expect firmware to be a million miles away from saving a profile within code, unless (and please explain) if SIV does not save the settings and it writes it to the CP?. The firmware version of 0.8.210 is the latest that Link offers me and I cannot find any link to download your later version. This config has run for yonks in a working state and only in the last few months stopped working as intended, so I am not sure firmware will help but will go update both to the latest that I am offered. As for device name - I only change these if I need to - if the device is unused, I leave SIV default names. Thanks David Attachments:

The firmware version of 0.8.210 is the latest that Link offers me. I expect you need to use iPOO as I suspect CL4 no longer get's updated.
